News body:
Summer has started because the festivals have arrived! First off the bat is the Sketch Comedy Festival which is in full effect. Happening at Theatre St-Catherine right now until Sunday May 27th. Troupes from all over Canada, from the US and even Australia are coming to town. Check out here for more details.
But what I really wanted to mention was the The St-Ambroise FRINGE Festival is around the corner. From June 4th to 24th, come and experience dance, spoken word, song, sketch, comedy, satire and everything in between with this eclectic range of artists. June 4th islaunch day and you are all invited. Each guests has 2 minutes to talk about their act. It's a fast paced event and you gotta keep up but it will be charged with all the info and fun shows to come!
This year I present you a new act but a very known face around the Montreal. Michael Lifshitz has the show for you. Having struggled with a disability his whole life, Mikey has taking his hardships and annoyance from being disabled and turned them into motivation.
Conquer your Mountains is Michael's way of talking out about people's ignorance, his frustrations and the strength he pulls from comedy to cope with it all!
Every night, a new opening act will kick off your journey. From Kevin Gasior to Peter Radomski to Paul Ash, you're in for a second treat no matter who it is! For show times and more information check out his site www.inspiringtheworld.com or contactMicheal@michaelifshitz.com. If you live outside Montreal, you can still see the show. For the same price of a ticket, you can live stream the event. Click this link to find out which datesare available and how to register. Pretty cool, no?
