Johanne Sarazen has a great sense of structure and how to tell a story. Even in a tiny space with minimal budgets and sets, her script makes it possible for the actors to explore the complex manipulations that arise from their characters' attempts to avoid confronting themselves. Alternating between ironic wit and raw emotion, the actors' performances are impressively truthful and honest, adding just the right flourishes to bring them to life. The text is strong and challenging though certainly wouldn't be hurt by a dramaturge with a good eye and a sharp pair of scissors.
