Good points: Sincere actors who clearly really love Jane Austen
The show is exactly what it claims to be, a summary of Austen's 6 novels and some of the background history about the author and the works. It is rather book-report-esque, including no spoofing, silly twists, or some of the more comedic compressions I've seen before. Instead, the show draws all its humour from overstated gender roles and dated cultural references, and continually harping on zombies. The effect, however, comes off as awkward and a little indulgent.
